I'd just like to know : with witch letter begins the name of the babies, this year for the club Neocat ?

In Belgium, this year, we begin the names with the letter " D " for pedigree.
Is it the same letter in Nederland ?

Of course, we aren't obliged to follow this rule, but I think it is better.

I am a member of Neocat. I realy don´t know what the letter is. I´m going too try too find out.

Is in Belgium the letter in following order off the ABC (this year D and last year C) ?

Yes, this year, when we ask pedigree to our club, the best is to begin the name with " D ".
Last year, it was " C "

Next year, it will be " E " and so on.

But it isn't a rule all breeders follow !!!!
Some one begins their first litter with " A ", the second one with " B ", and so on ........

But the majority follow the letter of the year.

It is the same in France.

My question was : how do you do in Nerderland ? Neocat and others clubs ?
Do they ask to follow a letter for the babies or you can choice all the names with a different letter ?

The clubs don't ask to follow a letter. Al breeders can choose the names they like.
I believe most breeders start there first litter with A and so on for every litters that comes next.

This litter a have now, I gave them all names starting with D because this is our 4th litter.
But I don't know if I will give E names to the next one.

P.S. did you know that the kittens I have now are the grandchildren of Urkhan?
Benji is the father, and they are beautiful.

I don´t have the peddigree downstairs. The father of my girls is Bowie Prince du Siam, that is also from your cattery ? I think so. Bowie and Benji are family. I have seen Urkhan (the verry big Lilac guy, my favorite colour) in Aalst-Waalre with the special. There he was the most special sweet cat .

In Holland there are more catclubs for peddigrees that is the same in Belgium ? Do you know how it is in France ?

it's the same with dogs in belgium, or so i've heard. I believe its H this year for dogs. I don't know if it is St. Hubertus deciding that for every breed, i think its actually quite boring to have all dogs with pedigree named with a D. Its not the same in Holland, here we can just choose whatever we like.

Horses tho, on the other hand, the Royal Dutch Warmblooded horse have the same thing :)

In France, only the LOOF (Livre Officiel des Origines Félines) can deliver pedigrees. It is in the laws.
It exists some breed club but they can't deliver pedigree.
The LOOF makes also other works :
he makes the standards of all the cat breeds, and so on ....

If you come in Belgium with your cat for show, you could be juged by a LOOF judge or a WCF judge. If the judge comes from France or Deutschland. Because in Belgium we have no federation of breeds !!! I think it is really a pity.

Yes, Benji and Bowie are very fine. My great pleasure is to see again Benji in a show, when I come at the same show. His mother is Verythai. She is now pregnant. Benji will have soon brothers and sister ! LOL.
The mother of Bowie is Saphire. And Saphire is the mother of Verythai.

Urkhan, ahhhh : he is a real love cat.
He is so affectinate, so kind and have a sweet character.

I hope, may be, to see your babies in a show. I would like to do.

My next show in Holland is Geleen (Limbra Cat) 25 mei.
I will present Cidjy, she is blue point and her father is Urkhan.
